Love vs Kindness

I got this from my Devotional Book and I would like to share it to you....hope you like em too...

Kindness provides a house, but
Love makes a home.
Kindness packs an adequate sack lunch, but Love puts a note of encouragement inside.
Kindness provides a television set or computer as a learning aid, but Love controls the remote control and cares enough to insists a child "sign off."
Kindness sends a child to bed on time, but Love tucks the covers around a child's neck and provides a goodnight hug and kiss.
Kindness cooks a meal, but Love selects the "your favorite foods" menu and lights the candles.
Kindness writes a thank you note, but Love thinks to include a joke or photograph or bookmark inside the envelope.
Kindness keeps a clean and tidy house, but Love adds a bouquet of fresh flowers.
Kindness pours a glass of milk, but Love occasionally adds a little chocolate sauce.
Kindness is doing what is decent, basic, courteous, and necessary for an even, smooth, and gentle flow of life.
Love is taking extra step to make life truly exciting, creative, and meaningful! Love is what makes thing special!

***The teacher asked the pupils to tell the meaning of Lovingkindness. A little boy jumped up and said, "Well, if  I was hungry and someone gave me a piece of bread that would be kindness. But if they put a little jelly on it, that would be Loving Kindness."

Bless the Lord, O my soul...who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things.

This morning I was deleting my old MP3 files. Before removing them from my PC, I tried to listen to them for the last time. I guess I have to leave one old song in my folder. I like the message…it’s so positive.. heck….that’s why it’s called Affirmation by Savage Garden.

I believe the sun should neverset upon an argument
I believe we place our happiness in other people's hands
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self-esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

I believe you can't control or choose your sexuality
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
I believe your most attractive features are your heart and soul
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold

I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair
I believe the only ones who disagree are millionaires

I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness
I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed
I believe that God does not endorse TV evangelists
I believe in love surviving death into eternity

I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

A very special friend is having her birthday today…Nancy.  I  just wish I could be there to hug and kiss you on your special day. I am so thankful for having you as my friend. Even if you’re miles away, I always felt that I’m taken cared of. You never missed to greet me on my special day, you never fail to comfort me whenever I am down.  Thanks for loving me…love and miss you, girl!  (Some say I’m bitchy…well, wait till you meet the Goddess! Lolz)

This cake is for you ;)

Before I leave..let me leave you with this....

"How does one become a butterfly?" she asked pensively.
"You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar."

Don't throw away the 90% that you already have!

From his book: You Have the Power to Create Love (Bo Sanchez)

ADULTERY happens when you start looking for what you
don't have.

"Bo, this girl in my office is a real looker," many a husband will say.
"But it's not her Wynona Rider features that got me. I'm head over heels with her because she's also understanding, intelligent, tender-- so many things that my wife is not."

Sure.

Guys, trust me on this. Somewhere along the way, you'll find a woman who
will be more charming. More alluring. More thoughtful. Richer. Be a better cook.
Have greater sex appeal. Be a more efficient housekeeper. And you will find
a woman who will need you and pursue you and go loco over you more than your wife ever did. Because no wife is perfect. Because a wife will only have 90% of what you're looking for. So adultery takes place when a husband looks for the missing 10%.

Let's say your wife is melancholic by nature. You may find yourself drawn to the
pretty clerk who has a cherry laugh no matter what she says: "I broke my arm
yesterday, Hahahaha..." Or because your wife is a homebody in slippers and
pajamas, smelling of garlic and fish oil, you may fall for a fresh-smelling young
sales representative that visits your office in a sharp black blazer, high heels, and a red pencil-cut skirt. Or because your wife is the quiet type (a rare find), your heart may skip a beat when you meet an old college flame who has the makings of a talk show host like Oprah.

But wait! That's only 10% of what you don't have.

Don't throw away the 90% that you already have!

That's not all. Add to your wife's 90% the 1000%that represents all the years that you have been with each other. The storms you have weathered together.
The unforgettable moments of sadness and joy as a couple. The many adjustments
you have made to love the other. The wealth of memories that you've accumulated as lovers.

Adultery happens when you start looking for what you don't have. But
faithfulness happens when you start thanking God for what you already have.

But I'm not just talking about marriage. I'm talking about life! About your jobs. About your friends. About your children. About your prayer groups. About your lifestyles.

Are you like the economy airline passenger that perennially peeks through
the door of the first class cabin, obsessed with what he's missing? "They
have got more leg room! Oh my, their food is served in porcelain! Wow,
their seats recline at an 80% angle and they've got personal videos!" I
guarantee you'll be miserable for the entire trip!

Don't live your life like that. Forget about what the world says is first class.
(Do you know that there are many first class passengers who are miserable
in first class -- because they're not riding in a private Lear Jet?)

My main message: If you start thanking God for what you have right now,
wherever you are... is first class!

You have wealth under your nose. Thank Him.

Let's pray to God that we be blessed with a grateful heart and thankful
attitude all the time.

My Weekend!

Beautiful rainy day! It started raining once again....Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as for me last Saturday, me and mommy went to Magalang, she visited an old lady there. supposedly, I should stay at home but mommy wants me to drive instead of my sis. But it's okay, I already had my sleep that time.  Oh well, every time I go to Magalang or even just hear the name of that place, I only have one thing in mind....Pastillas!!!! I miss their pastillas so much, so sad I didn't get the chance to buy some because it was already late. Oh well for my craving....

I'm sad...it's been almost a week that my stubborn *** is not talking to my mom...I don't know what's her problem, she's not even talking to me. She'll only talk to me is she have questions or need something. All I know is that last week, mommy talked to her, because my mom is receiving some complaints from some of our customers regarding her attitude..well...I hate to say this but she do have an attitude problem...I even talked to her about that. And because of that...she's mad or something...and she doesn't want to talk to me and mommy...Well, that is for her own good I just hope she realizes this before it's too late.  By the way, do you remember my previous entry about someone who lied to me? ~ that was my ***. (No questions please, I don't want to talk about it).

Yesterday, since mommy was sad, I baked a cake for her...at first I was planning to bake Carrot Cake but sadness, I lost my recipe (yan yan burara kasi masyado!). So I just changed my mind and baked Pineapple ~ Carrot Cake (it still has carrots). Every time I bake, I always makes mommy happy...she's a cake lover.  Way back when I was stillon my pigtails, every recessI have a small slice of cake for my baon, she always bakes for us, she loves baking too! Then, me and my friend would always cut that piece of cake in half, I always share my baon with her. And now, it's my turn to bake for her....Now, what did my critics say? "It was delicious!"  I find it funny yesterday, because when I first tasted it, for me it tasted..uhmmm...I don't know what terminology I should use but it didn't taste good for me...and yet mommy and our housemaid loved it, even Finch and Ernie loved them too! (which is by the way my two handsome dogs). Then, this morning, I ate a slice of it and they were right all along..it was heavenly. I guess there was something wrong with my taste bud.

Well, this is it for me....I still have to review my FRD codes...Help! I need someone to wake me up! Every time I review those codes, I ended up sleeping! No..please..not again!

Till next time,

Here is a wonderful guideline for helping hurting people.

Here is a wonderful guideline for helping hurting people.

1- We are not required to fix the hurt.

2- Curiosity is not the same as caring.

3-A gentle touch can mean more than a great truth.

4-God understands our questions -and even our anger.

5- A listening ear brings more comfort than the wisest mouth.

6- People don't hurt less because you tell them somebody
    else hurts more.

7- Words of love are words of encouragement.

8- Small acts of kindness are not small.

9- All of the Scripture we know may not need to be
    quoted right now.

10- Losing one's balance is not the same as losing
      one's testimony.

11- It takes time to live our questions all the way to
      God's prayers.

12- Time alone has no power to heal- God alone does.

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)

God is bigger

Beautiful day! Blogoshpere. It finally stopped raining! woohoo! Hope everything's fine on your end. As for me, I'm doing okay except for my allergy, it has been 4 days already but it's getting better already. Just need to take some medicine and all these meds are making me feel sleepy. I just hope that my allergy won't leave any scars, I've been scratching some of them...hehe...Anyway, I hope my PC will not freeze or what..because yesterday, when I tried to update, after typing my entry and posting some picture..having done all of that..when I was about to click SAVE..the horror begins! My PC froze, meaning all that typing and everything was gone! I was so pissed that I just logged off.  I also found these cutie, for my friend who loves to eat stuffed frog..this is for you...hope you'll somehow feel guilty eating those innocent frogs....

Last Saturday, we went to Enna's place, she's having her despidida party. She and her Soldier will be leaving today (Aug. 2) heading for New Jersey. We had so much fun last weekend. Oh, and the food they're good, but she didn't do all the cooking..it was her mom (which is by the way a very good cook).  I was also with Ann, Jen and her hubby. I just wish her goodluck and have a safe trip! I will surely miss calling her Mary, Paul McCartney and Stallone.  Peace!

Yesterday, when I was surfing....I came across with this line: " No matter how big you problems are, God is bigger". After reading this, it made me stop, think and reflect. It reminded me of the time when I was so down. It reminded me of how I spend each day just crying. Holding unto the Lord is the only thing that made me feel better. I know that he loves me and my family so much that everything has it's reason. He have bigger plans for each and everyone of us. When no one seems to understand, it is only God who sat by my side to listen to me crying, complain, asking tons and tons of questions. He always listen and never there was a time he stopped listening to me. I realized that in one's life, struggle is a part of it. Your life will never be complete without having any trials. It makes you a better and stronger person. We experience all these to let us know what we are capable of. Honestly, in my younger years, I didn't know that I can be this strong after what happened. I have always thought of myself as a very weak person and God helped me overcome it. For everything that I have today, for all the lessons I learned and will continue to learn, all that I am....I owe it all to HIM. He taught me real love, the truth, where faith comes from and he alone gives me strength. I am also thankful for He always surrounds me with people who believes in me and in my dreams, people who loves me so much and uplift Him.

I want to share you this lovely poem, I hope you'll like it to....

In Memory of You

I find an old photograph
and see your smile.
As I feel your presence anew,
I am filled with warmth
and my heart remembers love.

I read an old card
sent many years ago
during a time of turmoil and confusion.
The soothing words written then
still caress my spirit
and bring me peace.

I remember who you used to be
the laughter we shared
and wonder what you have become.
Where are you now,
Where did you go,
When the body is left behind
and the spirit is released to fly?

Perhaps you are the morning bird
singing joyfully at sunrise,
or the butterfly that dances
so carelessly on the breeze
or the rainbow of colors
that brightens a stormy sky
or the fingers of afternoon mist
delicately reaching over the mountains
or the final few rays of the setting sun
lighting up the skies
edging the clouds with a magical glow.

I miss your being
but I feel your presence,
In whatever form you choose to take,
however you now choose to be.

Your spirit has become for me
a guardian angel on high
guiding, advising, and watching over me.

I remember you.
You are with me
and I am not afraid.

--Kirsti A. Dyer, MD, MS
